Website Health Check
Many business owners put considerable effort into choosing a website design that reflects their company style – then they get on with the day to day running of their business. Occasionally, there is reason to query whether the website is ‘doing its job’. Unfortunately, it is just like any other resource – it performs better when not neglected and produces better results when kept up to date with current information.
Website Performance Review
An initial review would include a brief look through the website, checking source code for headings, meta-data, alt-tags, etc. We would also check that Google Analytics was available and, if authorised, take a brief look at visitor trends. For potential clients that have been referred to us, the brief review would usually be free, as a courtesy to the referrer. We can offer a brief overview as a complementary service to website owners but there will be a nominal charge for more detail.
On request, we will undertake a more in-depth review of website performance and produce a comprehensive report with a list of suggestions and recommendations. This usually takes at least a couple of hours of research, therefore a nominal charge of between £50 and £100 (+vat) will be payable. These fees can be off-set against any subsequent work undertaken.
SEO & Website Content Management
There are two stages to Search Engine Optimisation (SEO): the initial pass of ensuring that the website adheres to Google’s guidelines for good content and the ongoing tasks of keeping content current and increasing traffic, either regularly or ad-hoc. Depending on your website platform, we may be able to manage the whole project or feed the recommended content changes to your web designer for implementation. For example:
- updating product or services information pages
- adding images / news / testimonials / blog posts
Smaller companies often outsource SEO work to third parties with experience of Google guidelines compliance and of building website visibility on the internet. We use Google tools extensively to monitor and analyse keyword / visitor trends and will keep you informed of interesting statistics.
Social Media Management
The BPc will set up and manage your social media, as required, targeting wider audiences via posts to Twitter, your Facebook page, etc..
A full multi-desciplined internet marketing agreement is more efficient and cheaper for a small company than employing a part-time enthusiast or staff with specialist skills. It’s also easier to end the contract! When you feel able to move the tasks in-house, we will train and support the designated staff member, as required.
